Damn. LW on the Amiga _needs_ distributed rendering even more than
LW on other (faster) platforms. Here is an area where NewTek can
demonstrate their support and appreciation for their loyal Amiga user base.
If DR is left off the Amiga version (including stand alone and Toaster both),
I will be more than dissappointed in NewTek. LW should be the _same_
on all platforms, unless specific machine differences prevent it. There is
nothing lacking in Amiga networking to prevent DR (and nothing lacking
in graphics cards with Cybergraphics to prevent high color screen support
on the Amiga, for that matter).
I'm also curious about how DR might work across networks that mix several
types of computers.
Best Regards,
-Jamie (since Toaster version .9) Krutz
PS. Why is this being voted on on a local Kansas BBS? I would think if NewTek
wanted to know what LW users want, they ought to be listening here and on the
newsgroup, where worldwide LW users congregate, as well as calling users and
sending out surveys.
